NETFLIX

Netflix has radically changed the way we consume movies or even series. For years, we have had to comply with the schedules imposed by the television stations. In a way, the streaming service freed us from this constraint.

But beyond the freedom it grants us, it is also the richness of its catalog that has contributed to its success.

The Squid Game is a very good example. This Korean series is indeed on its way to becoming one of the most popular programs on the platform, but it would probably never have been broadcast in France without it.

And indeed, here are 7 other Korean series to discover urgently on Netflix:

Sweet Home

Sweet Home pours horror and gore, but it does it with intelligence.

The story takes place in an old building in Korea. Cha Hyun-su, an abandoned kid, finds himself alone in a squalid apartment, ready to end his life. It is then that the world will suffer the full brunt of an apocalypse. People will start to turn into monsters.

The inhabitants of the building will then do everything to survive, which will not be easy.

Extracurricular

Oh Jisoo is a rather discreet high school student, but he hides his game well. On the sidelines of his school life, he has indeed organized an extremely sophisticated criminal network ... and which brings him a lot of money every month.

But now, very quickly, he will attract the attention of his comrades ... and dangerous competitors.

Kingdom

Most zombie series or movies are set in our time, but what if such creatures had sprung up in feudal Korea? You'll have to look at Kingdom to find out.

Learning of the death of the king, his father, Crown Prince Chang Lee indeed decides to go to his bedside. The young queen will however conspire to kill him in order to place the child she carries on the throne. It is then that a strange epidemic will appear in the rural province.

Move to heaven

Hang Jeong-u and Hang Geu-ru have a specialty: accompanying the families of the deceased and helping them to put in order the affairs of their missing relatives.

Move to Heaven tells their story, and their daily life. A particularly difficult daily life.

Alice

Alice, not to be confused with Alice in Borderlands, is versed in science fiction and time travel. The action follows an inspector who will stumble upon a band of time travelers.

As if that wasn't strange enough, one of the group members is a teacher who looks suspiciously like her late mother.

Strangers from Hell

Jong-u, an aspiring detective story writer, moves into a new building, and soon realizes that his neighbors are a bit strange.

Worried, he will do everything to get out of the slum he lives in, but it will not be so easy. To make matters worse, dead cats will be found in the neighborhood.

Stranger

Hwang Si-mok was born with an abnormally developed brain. He was operated on as a teenager, but the procedure left him disabled and he is now unable to feel empathy.

Later, having become a prosecutor, he will decide to tackle a murder case, a case linked to political corruption.

Designated Survivor 60 Days

Chances are, the actor in this series vaguely reminds you of something. And this is normal since we have seen it in several productions and in particular in Move to heaven, Misty, Second to Last love or even Undercover.

Designated Survivor 60 Days, for its part, places him in the shoes of the Korean Minister of the Environment, a minister who will have to take the head of Korea after an attack on the National Assembly.

The story is of course adapted from Designated Survivor, a very good American series.
