The official release of the second part of the fourth season of Attack on Titan is now known. The broadcast is scheduled for the winter season, starting in January 2022.
Remember that this fourth season will be the last for the animated series adaptation of Hajime Isayama's shōnen manga. The first part, which began airing last January, has 16 episodes. The announcement of the second part was made in the late 16 th episode in March. The series will resume in winter and the 17 th episode. Specifically, the broadcast will resume in January 2022, but no specific date has been communicated. However, we know that the next episode will be called " Condemnation" - or Danzai in the original version.
Note that the MAPPA studio will still be in charge of the production of this second part. In June, he confirmed the pickup during the winter season at an online event linked to his tenth birthday celebration.
A cliffhanger at the conclusion of part one
The fourth season follows Gabi and Falco. These two Eldian teenagers are candidates to succeed Reiner's battleship Titan four years after the failed mission to recover the original Titan. Mahr's Empire plans an invasion of Paradise Island to bolster its weakened army and reclaim the original Titan. Along with the offshore exploration battalion of the Mahr Empire, Gabi, Falco, Reiner and other Titans go to war against the Eldian soldiers of Paradise Island.
For his part, Eren reveals his new plan of attack against the invaders of Mahr: annihilation. As each side continues to take heavy losses, the Mahrs and the Exploration Battalion must question their respective strategies to gain the upper hand over the opposite side. Eren's comrades also begin to question their leader's choices. Meanwhile, Gabi and Falco discover that everything they learned about the infamous Heaven Island demons was actually wrong.
The last episode of Part 1 ended on a massive cliffhanger. The Mahr Empire's infiltration unit attempts to capture Eren to steal his powers. However, he has time to transform into an attacking Titan.
