Publisher Shogakukan confirmed that the Detective Conan manga will reach 100 volumes this year. The work of Weekly Shonen Sunday created in 1994 by Gosho Aoyama publish its hundredth volume in Japan .
The ad appeared on the last page of volume 99, published in the land of the rising sun this week. The volume will contain chapters 1059 to 1069 , comprising the case started in volume 99 and two complete cases , the first of them especially relevant in the plot of the series.
In this way, Detective Conan will become the twenty-fourth centennial manga in the history of the industry, and the twenty-fourth in total number of volumes. Thus, the little detective enters a privileged list led by Dokaben, Golgo 13 and Kochikame , all three exceeding two hundred volumes; and among which are illustrious works such as Captain Tsubasa , Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Hajime no Hippo .
